Reproduction of Jean Hey's Child at Prayer

This was my final painting for my Color Fundamentals class. We were to reproduce a famous painting from before the 19th century. I chose Child at Prayer by Jean Hey because of my interest in painting portraits and figures and becuase there was no complex background to worry about.

Chuck Close

This painting was created for my Color Fundamentals class. The assignment was to create a portrait of artist Chuck Close in a similar style to the way he paints. My teacher had made the suggestion to alternate the strips of color to make it more playful.

Dinosaur Skull

This is a painting I created for my Color Fundamentals class. We were given a black and white photo copy of a dinosaur skull and were instructed to paint one half of the painting using monochromatic colors in a posterized style. The other half was to be made up of complimentary colors and to use blending.

Unknown Man

This is the second oil painting I ever did when I was in highschool. It is a reproduction of a reproduction my instructor created. I'm not sure who the original artist was.
